So... I've been not-so-secretly working on doing some coding for Inkscape, and I finally was able to make some changes which can help pony vectorers!! The changes that I made help make powerstrokes (Inkscape's "stroke width" tool) more usable (possibly even moreso than Illustrator, but don't let any Illustrator user hear that

). Basically, I changed a few defaults, added a dialog so you can exactly specify the width numerically, and made switching between a powerstroke and normal stroke easier. I'm still testing the patched version, but expect to see a journal with a download sometime in the near future

This is an adorably hillarious vector of AJ, which I did simply because she doesn't get enough love... I gave myself the challenge of vectoring all of the images of her in the MLP wikia, although I doubt that I'll actually do that

It might be a good challenge in between episodes of season 3 though...
